Biography

Board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Timms received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, S.C. in 1991. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of
Orthopedic Surgeons. He has 33 years of private practice experience. He specializes in reconstructive surgery, with a focus on total knee and hip replacement, including robotically assisted joint replacement and anterior hip replacement. He also specializes in shoulder and knee arthroscopy including Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. Dr. Timms grew up in Greenwood, S.C. His personal interests include boating, golfing and hiking.
