Dr. Maughon received his undergraduate degree from Clemson University in Clemson, S.C., his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C. He completed his residency at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, S.C., and a sports medicine fellowship at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, G.A. Dr. Maughon is a naval veteran who worked with Marines while stationed at Beaufort Naval Hospital and deployed to Kandahar Afghanistan with the Army. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and being on the water.
